Delphine looks around for signs or clues indicating where torture is taking place. She does not appear to be shaken by his words but is taking a cautious stance

"There is absolutely no reason to explain myself to cannon fodder" he said disgustedly to Marcus. "Now my dear, the question is where I will start with you. Your skin has not seen the sun on many occasions, thanks to the protection of our king, it will be easy to peel away. But don't worry, whore, I will leave your precious eyesight for last." He smiled.

"Wrong answer," spat Marcus.

He strode forward with his fists clenched. As he approached the old man, his move was going to be to forcefully grab the old man and hoist him up out of the chair and rag doll him into submission.

The man shook with a slight rattle, his dry skin taut under Marcus' grip. Yet he continued to laugh under his breath, conceding nothing.

Hearing the commotion, Loch turned to run to the back of the tent. He came crashing to the ground as the shelf behind him was overturned. He saw a pair of familiar boots as he looked back under the shelf. Military intelligence.

Loch rolled to his knees, and as he stood, the air around him seemed to hum and a sound like a thousand whips flowed from him as he allowed lightning to flash and arc around him (not attacking anything, just being flashy). His eyes shone forth like bright blue lights, and his hair and cloak billowed in an unseen wind.

He turned to face his attackers

(He is trying to intimidate, he doesn't want to kill any more military if he has to, so he is trying to make them back down)

Marcus held the old man off the ground easily in one hand, so that his feet dangled in the air. Marcus balled up his right fist and grunted as he hit him hard in the diaphram, trying to knock the wind out of him to shut him up.

As Marcus rears his fist back to punch Delphine yells, "Noooo!" And watches in horror as the scene plays itself out

As Marcus connected with the geriatrics midsection, the air in the room seemed to pull in tight around him. His chest sunk in, then with a burst, he exploded, filling the room with searing ash and dust. (Marcus and Delphine begin choking and coughing, but are not injured)

The lightning arcing around Loch sent sparks and pops throughout the room as it jumped through the dust. The sparks vaporized the dust around him, but his vision was partially obstructed by the swirling dust in the air.

Loch peered through the haze and saw a figure coming through the mass. He cursed, louder than he expected, as he made out the face of Bowen.

Delphine choked hard on the dust and was now spitting it out, having been knocked to the floor by the blast. She looked up and saw something crawl out from under the wicker chair. It was the cat from her vision. As it stalked closer, unaffected by the cloud, it's appearance changed slowly.

It began to lengthen and stand upright. Its paws stretching into thin fingers, its whiskers shortening into a gaunt face. A face very familiar to Marcus.

It was Harkes. (But he's not a drow)

Marcus sputtered a bit from the dust as we wiped his face. He turned to face Harked, and stood his ground. He dropped his hands to his side and shook them out, showing his preparedness. "Just who we were coming to see. Thanks Harked, you saved us a long walk."

"No problem, traitorous filth" he spat his words at Marcus. "I guess it's too bad about my grandfather here, but he was not far from the grave as it was. His life served a greater purpose in death, fortunately for me. You will be a great trophy to hang on my wall when this is over" he continued, flexing his fingertips.

Bowen made eye contact with Loch. "Too bad it had to end this way, I mean, no one here to see me beat you to a bloody pulp..."

This is Bowen.

Loch smiled, as arcs of electricity snaked there way up and down his arms. He stepped back, his feet stepping into a loose stance, able to move where he needed to go, staying on the balls of his feet.

"I'm sorry no one will see that either. Come on princess, let's dance"

(Loch's style is to keep moving, as enemies advance, he uses his magic to blur him to another space, usually behind the opponent, and then hit them with a blast of electricity)

"Traitor? You don't know what are you talking about," Marcus replied. "I have always faithfully served the ideals of our kingdom. You wouldn't understand... You're just a dog that follows orders without regard."

Marcus' hands flashed through a smooth movement and came up in front of him holding both of his war axes in a defensive posture. He waited to see what Harkes would do, hoping for an opening to end this encounter quickly.

Harkes looked up from under his tussle of hair, a sly grin on his face answering, "Every dog has his day."

Marcus jerked away quickly as a handful of dust and ash flew in his eyes, but he wasn't fast enough to avoid the dirty trick Harkes pulled.

(Harkes Sneaky Create Advantage -2 to Marcus' next attack. Harkes rolled a +4, Marcus rolled a +3 total for Quick Defend, Marcus will be a negative 2 for his first attack)

Bowen circled the floor, as if choosing his move carefully, but he already knew what he was going to do. He lunged at Myrddin, grabbing to lock up his forearms. Myrddin was quick, but was caught off guard by the agility of such a brute. His arms were locked up tightly at his sides.

(Bowen Forceful Create Advantage +5 total on his roll. Myrddin Quick Defend to get out of the way, +1 total {even with a sneaky defend, its still a success with style} Myrddin is at a -2 to his attack/action and Bowen will be able to use it again later unless you break free on your turn)
